I’m deeply disappointed by Telnic and Telnames

Post by TelKing on Fri 22 Mar 2013, 12:32 pm

Four years ago Telnic claimed to serve the community.
And this is what has happened:
They banned everybody from their forum who didn’t praise how great their product is.
They don’t care about customer wishes.
They exclude the public from any discussions.
They canceled promised improvements.
They raise new companies and try to hide the reasons for it.
They don’t response to customer questions beyond technical problem solving.
They don’t spend any time for product development.
They listen neither to the community nor to customers.
They don’t accept advices doesn’t matter how useful they are.
I have not more to say. Frankly I'm a little bit speechless!

Short response from me this time lucky you /jk

I try to remain positive but its all true and the mention of listening to customers aka the we have listened tweets and blog on two joke items is not really listening its covering their ass for later its just giving an appearance of it to ICANN and new telnames customers who know no better, I've tried screaming and ranting and that didn't work (twitter), the only thing I can now do is try to have hope this community might build itself up to a point it can challenge telnic at least at the bargaining table at ICANN and document (blog) everything I feel is wrong with the proxy and hope that when the time comes and perhaps ICANN has someone research online to see what customers thought of the time telnic ran the proxy they come across my blog, see how logical it was that X Y and Z should have been done and see how telnic failed.

And last but not least leave them with no doubt or excuse to say they didn't see my blog because I posted it's links here, this is so if they say they didn't see it and it was posted more than once a week in a thread that keeps popping up on latest topics, it proves they did not engage with their own community and the whole forum proves they pushed us away and it was more than complaints it was our hopes, dreams and needs rolled into constructive criticism which is what ICANN said they had to listen to in order to run the proxy.

So that's why I think its important we show we're more than what telnic will claim we are and make sure what we say has an outcome telnic cant slide out of with excuses and blaming others for what happened, and why a new forum built from the ground up around their "contact card logins" even if we have to do it in a way that by passes their approval process for Oath because they reject us, shows they are the wrong people to run this extension as they my have refused others out of self interest and stifled their own community and developers.

@TelKing - Fair Comment !

@fustachio.tel - 2016 would appear to be the earliest date that Telnic could relinquish control of the tel extension - barring a trade sale before then !
