But Telnic won't get $1.1 billion. They will be lucky to get $10 million at most, and possibly under $1 million.

Before launch Telnic collected $35 million, but the investment was connected with high expectations that failed due to reduction of even the smallest improvements.
It'll be interesting to see what happens when Telnic is in need for fresh money.

.TEL - THE IDEA
of using the internet's core - the DNS - to store user data that would then be accessible by 3rd party services for Dial By Name, Email By Name, etc.

Score 10/10

.TEL - THE IMPLEMENTATION
- dropping the Roadmap
- dropping the .Telegraph newsletter
- dropping all significant development for Telnic subdomain .tels
- non-communication with Telnic customers who express genuine and reasonable concerns
- alienating the established Telnic user base with the introduction of Telnames without explanation
- alienating Domain Investors by not allowing AdSense on Telnames .tels
- alienating Software Developers by rarely listening to them regarding improvements to Telnic .tels and not permitting access to the API of Telnames .tels
- alienating Registrars by Telnic subsidiary Telnames selling their .tels direct to the end users, bypassing the Telnic Registrars, who are forced to stick with the no longer marketed subdomain .tels

Score 1/10
