Can you see that only useful domains appear in the search results?

Important:
Use only http://telpages.com/advanced_search.action and not http://telpages.com !!!

Only two more problems:
  1. Nobody knows Telpages.
  2. The presentation of search results is not nice.

Yeah, so there's the whole problem, same answers as "Why Telnames cannot convince SMBs ? " ... No traffic ...

Facebook doesn't need Google and has plenty of traffic.
Yellow Pages doesn't need Google and has plenty of traffic.

Why? A directory that has value and is advertised, so people buy in because it gets traffic.

Telnames Directory, advertised as the Global Directory of choice, it gets traffic that is self-growing.

(No subdomain garbage, great results display, advertised)

It sounds just what .tellers have been waiting for, and the above link has been there for 4 years, but where is it ?

URL please Telnic !

PS. No answers please saying its TelPages - "Global Directories" are broken down into Countries, then structured by Category.
The TelPages Search Engine is NOT a Tel Global Directory - it is neither broken down into Countries nor structured by Category !

Here's the beginning of a requirements spec for a Tel Global Directory !

so that clarifies that telpages search results are including telnames .tels in the results very nicely.

what is needed, is for telpages to officially come out of beta.
and to simply fix some display things...
(and the MOBILE template bug about results NOT staying within a singular pro.tel domains tree,
that is, broken when used as the mobile search function on a directory based pro.tel mobile device)

no need to re-invent this.
just fix and promote.

Here's a test - imagine you are a .tel newbie visitng the home page of Telnic at http://www.telnic.org or Telnames at http://www.telnames.com

You don't know of the name TelPages - so how exactly will you discover that .tel has a search engine ?

The obvious answer is a large search box being present on the home page, but none is to be found.

A couple of years or so ago I made this suggestion to Telnic on their forum (before being banned) - Telnic's Nadya thought it was a very good idea - but nothing actually happened and then Nadya decided to leave Telnic.

It's no good just having a Tel Search Engine - there needs to be a clear mechanism for .tel newbies to know it exists !

BTW here's my own Net-Link Tel Search Engine - please try it out !
