No subdomains at Telnames in the future

Post by Tim Spears on Thu 19 Jun 2014, 7:02 am

It took more than two years for Telnic to comment on this important and famous topic:

Now we finally know that no change will happen! Thank you to Boracay for being persistent in this matter!

It was to be expected, but finally we can give up the hope for improvement!

I'm not at all surprised by this tweet - Henri Asseily the CTO of both Telnic and Telnames has been effectively saying as much in his blog posts ever since Telnames was launched - by stressing that they will be keeping Telnames as a simple single page offering.

So the only chance of getting a decent SEO boost for your Telnames (unless you have the time and inclination - and knowledge - to do it yourself) is for Telnames to:

1. Produce the missing Global Directory.

2. Make it simple for developers, including less experienced ones, to extraxt DNS data and display it.

3. Give Telnames .tels a big numerical boost by allowing all Telnic's registrars to offer the Telnames format.

Let's face it - after over 5 years since .tel's launch, not one developer has produced a DNS-extracting software application that is actually used en masse ! Or at all ?

Over to you Telnames now !
