Security Of Telhosting Accounts

Post by TelBlogger on Sun 17 Aug 2014, 4:43 pm

Anyone know if one is hiring third parties over the internet through companies like Freelancer how to keep accounts secure if third parties are given login details for Telhosting accounts.

Contacted Name.com and they said the account would be wide open. All you can do is make up a single sub-account for the domain being worked on.

Any ideas? Is hiring on Freelancer.com safe - can hires be trusted?

This will help you:
Through TELcp tel control panel, a tel Owner can grant OpenAuth access to telcp.com and share the telpages with others.
TELcp is designed exlusively to manage telpage contents and telpage users who have been invited by the tel Owner to maintain one or more telpages.

It depends:
A positive experience at freelancer.com depends largely on the integrity of both parties. The dispute process tends to put more of the burden of proof on freelancers than employers, while the burden of verifying authenticity tends to rest with the employer. A somewhat passive customer support system renders freelancer.com a service in need of improvement.

Names is right, you can do it by creating a new cth account for each domain, all domains are in default account, so you can create 1 for each domain, they will have separate username and password, but the freelander will never have control of your.tel account with your register ( names.com DM etc), also to have separate accunt is good because your loading is faster.

Expert you always is the one: given right information.
My new adventure will start soon, but I have a problem, I have been checking sites like guru.com and many more freelander sites, and I can not find what I need.
I need freelanders installers for IP camera surveillance, I will give more info soon but to have an idea check this: keeping an eye for you
Do you know any sites that I will be able to find freelander for IP cameras installer in UK and Colombia?

Thank you in advance

http://checkatrade.com

More: http://yell.com or http://yelp.com

I can't recommend http://telpages.com because of its low level of distribution.

If you change your Telhosting details for one domain how does that affect the OpenAuth for Telmasters for that domain. I'd ask Mark but he doesn't reply to emails I send.

Once the signup (for OAuth authorization) is complete, the client application never asks the user for CTH credentials or any other information until the access is revoked, or its duration runs out.
http://dev.telnic.org/docs/OAuth.pdf

This means you can change the password without affecting the OAuth authorization.
But if you transfer one .tel domain into another CTH account, the OAuth authorization won't be valid for that domain anymore.
In that case you have to authorize the client application (Telmasters) for this domain once again.

Thanks mate, I checked those sites before, but they have companies info, and not frelancer that is what I really need.
