Excellent news.

As even monkeys know that world is not ASCII.

Great News, getting closer to a truly global .tel.
拨一间屋子 (Dial a Room in Chinese, looks good except I'm sure I can JlouisBiz's initials in the middle there somwhere)

JLouisBiz03-30-2010 07:55 PM

According to Google, "dial a room" translates to: 拨号室 and 拨号室 translates to dial-up room.

Haven't a clue what 拨一间屋子 means then, apologies in advance if it's at all offensive.

Thanks for your good wishes JLB.[/size]

I am immune to offensive. I would not have otherwise http://stupid.tel

The almighty Google translates 拨一间屋子 as "Allocated a room".

I bet, Chinese would write it differently then we think.

As we can see at the upper right corner of the picture, IDN are coming. Perhaps it would be nice if Telnic would publish detailed rules and requirements for IDN domains written in a plain language. And also a procedure for their registration in TEL zone. As TEL is not only for professional domainers, but also for broad public (which can be ignorant of IDN nuances) then such information could help all these people (me including).

maximka, have you seen the FAQs on IDNs - http://telnic.org/faq.html? We've tried to cover the basics as well as the more complex nuances involved with them in there.

maximka04-27-2010 05:42 PM

No, I have not seen it yet. But now, as I learned that it already exists, I will study it. Thank you very much for information!

Looked few languages, and found that here Russian language IDN policy not available: “The requested URL /downloads/policies/IDN_Policy_Russianh.pdf was not found on this server.”

Thank you for spotting the typo, we will correct shortly. You can click on the PDF icon or just follow this link,http://telnic.org/downloads/policies...cy_Russian.pdf
