Is BIGGER better?

Hi All,
Just noticed, Name.com have increased the size of the .tel billboard (I suppose one could call it) on their homepage, increasing .tel exposure by a factor of 3 or there abouts, this can only be good news.
Would the new Telnic marketing manager have an input here?

Cees - you spoke too soon!

Name.com have certainly changed the design and content of their home page today at http://www.Name.com today, but when viewed from the UK there are no longer Dot Tel banners on it.

If you and I are viewing different home pages at http://www.Name.com this may be due to the "GeoIP Technology" which they are now using.

However their support for Dot Tel continues to be strong - they are the Dot Tel registrar I currently use.

I see it, it's this size that's like huge LOL

Only problem is Jensmith.tel don't exist. (yet?) which is total marketing fail.

But recently almost no .tel were registered all over the world.
What happen?
dying or burst out pre-night?

I am now sometimes getting a 2nd and 3rd line of billboards (2nd line is .tv and 3rd line is .tel and .im.) - other times I get just the 1st line consisting of Hosting/DomainNabber/.us/Fan.

As mentioned http://www.Name.com have just introduced "GeoIP Technology" to vary page content according to location - details are in their blog at http://blog.name.com/2010/08/better-domain-search - it would make sense for them to try this on their home page to determine the best click-thru rate on different banner combinations dependent on a user's location.

Just checked http://www.easywhois.com/?domain=jensmith.tel - JenSmith.tel was registered Monday 23 August by Name.com employee Paul Carter - now they just need to populate it via the CTH - have sent message via http://twitter.com/mikeseaton

Good work Mike.

Name_com try to "steal" Telnic's idea about virtual visit card. Can this harm TEL promotion? What do you think about this?

P.S.
Not wanted to open a new topic about name_com, so perhaps this my post can fit to this one.

Don't think there is anything to worry about - $5.99 a month for what is no more than a gimmick.
