Great show.
Don't usually watch opening ceremonies, but with it being our closest neighbours, tuned in and loved every minute of it.

Here's the man responsible.

"Danny Boyle, the Oscar-winning director -- and east London resident -- best known for hit movies "Trainspotting" and "Slumdog Millionaire" is the man responsible for the 2012 opening ceremony, the show televisions around the world will be tuned to at the start of London's long-awaited Olympic Games."

dutchstreetdog07-28-2012 01:53 PM

The opening ceremony was a Great show indeed.
Unfortunately, not sign of .tel logo.

Someone from Telnic should have got in touch with Mr.Bean!
He could have done the little promo for the .tel.

++++

dutchstreetdog07-28-2012 10:01 PM

Yes yes he would have done the trick
But then men is not from computers just like the other 80% of the people!

supercyberheroes07-28-2012 11:04 PM

The best promo to .tel could have come from Tim Berners Lee, it was there at the open ceremony, that British guy at the age 29 invented the internet connection know as www. if he say .tel is fine sell with go up fast, with mr Bean people will think is a joke.
Does Tim Berners Lee has .tel site?

The american invented the internet, but the British invented the web: www (web and internet are 2 different things but goes together) now the battle is between www - internet and apps - internet, who will win only the time will tell us, but I believe the web and the apps will survive, people was thinking that app will kill the web, but with the new HTML5 the web will not die.

Not quite sure whether you are referring to the same parade what I meant.

To me London Olympics are a failure.
If you watch it on TV there are thousands of empty seats and now I understand they let in soldiers for free to fill the empty seats.

dutchstreetdog07-31-2012 10:32 AM

But still, the opening was Great !
