URL Details on Telnic's Tel Template

Hi Aled

Is there any reason why we show the URL details when we create a link on a Tel (telnic) Site?

Aled04-08-2014 02:43 PM

Hi Gibran,

Can you explain a bit more what you mean please?

Gibran04-08-2014 03:54 PM

Hi Aled

eg. iNEWS.tel for every entry there is the description on the first line and the URL on the second.

Regards

Aled04-08-2014 04:07 PM

I see, so you are asking why you can't mask the url.

Keeping it visible gives the user confidence that it is a legitimate site and not a spoof/phishing link. The user can see exactly where they are going with the URL shown.

Hi Aled.
i understand.
Is it possible to make it optional to display it?

Blunderer04-08-2014 04:58 PM

Re. iNEWS.tel

That's a handy site Gibran, and the supporting .tels too. May I add it as a link on some of my sites please?

Aled04-08-2014 05:17 PM

Not at the moment, no I'm afraid not, Gibran.

You can link image ads to urls, so if you wanted to have a web link that wasn't shown on a .tel that is one way of doing it.

Gibran04-08-2014 05:38 PM

Hi Blunderer

Certainly. The sites still need some more work but they are functional.
You may also want to check out Adworld.TEL

Regards

Gibran

Thanks Aled.

I think you should consider doing it.
It could sometimes look a bit 'old'.

Best Regards.

To reference images via the iPhone app is a possibility you might try
(but even then you can't really see what you are working on)
Or you can use a 3rd party tool, such as telvision.co[/size]
