New design by BT Tel Names

After British Telcom haven’t been successful in selling .tel domains in the past, it’s even nicer they have spent some time in updating their promotional site for .tel:

BT Tel Names

Shouldn't they be integrating it with their network? after all BT runs the telephone exchanges? and deploys the primary infrastructure and investment, so again shouldn't they be integrating it with their network aka via caller id? aka someone calls you and as most phones offer to save the number shouldn't you if you have a BT Phone be able to have the contact card downloaded into your contacts after BT have done a look up on all .tel domains to find where the phone number matches what .tel domain? so the phone can do a quick DNS grab?

Indeed, just selling .tel domains makes no sense! It will become only a success by offering new services (name dialing). BT would be one of the best partners for it.

But instead of using the revolutionary DNS concept, they just try to be a reseller. Haven't they understood the real purpose of .tel?

Thought I'd check out one of the "Examples from some clients" given by BT in the link above - http://NHS.tel - it's not what you'd expect from the UK's National Health Service !

Seems not - but where is this clearly spelled out to anyone - apart from the forums (one of which is "Locked-Down" to casual viewers) ?
