Aliencafe, very nice!

That would be the best possible option (the only good one)!

That depends on who buys the assets of Telnic.

Precisely - couldn't agree more - but let's hope they don't have a Pre-Pack Sale.

Here's the definition of a Pre-Pack from Wikipedia:
"...an arrangement under which the sale of all or part of a company’s business or assets is negotiated with a purchaser prior to the appointment of an administrator, and the administrator effects the sale immediately on, or shortly after, his appointment.

There may sometimes be an advantage with a Pre-Pack in terms of continuity - but it also of course means the existing management may buy the company at a knockdown price with outsiders not getting a chance to bid !

Do you think continuity of the existing Telnic/Telnames management would be good for the .tel project ?

I don't !

Is this that variant when current CEO buys the company for his symbolic 1 (one) dollar?

That's a rhetorical question! We all have been able to observe the manifold mismanagement at Telnic for many years.

It certainly was - but I don't believe the switch to the Calder & Co. address was done without good reason and forward planning - it's a shame Directors at Telnic/Telnames don't put as much energy and effort into the .tel project itself !

Who knows, may be, all yet could come to a happy end with the combination, which is in the play now. The main player is not a fool, but contrary, a very smart guy.

When he will become a sole owner of the company, when he could begin play another game - this time not lowering down but instead rising up the value of a company, and because of that he will need to promote the development of TEL.

All we know today is that .tel stands on very unsteady ground.

The only certainty is uncertainty!

Just for the record, here the expected reaction from ICANN after submitting the details:
Thank you for submitting a Registry Other complaint concerning the top-level domain .tel. ICANN has reviewed and closed your complaint because:

- Your complaint is incomplete (i.e., lacks sufficient detail) or is too broad (lacks sufficient specificity). If you have grounds to believe that .tel may be in breach of its Registry Agreement (RA), or any of the ICANN's Consensus Policies, please submit a new ticket and provide a detailed explanation.

ICANN considers this matter now closed. If you require future assistance, please submit a new complaint to ICANN at http://www.icann.org/resources/compliance/complaints .

  • Insolvency?
  • Sale of the company?

  • Exploitation of assets?
  • Rights reversion for the TLD .tel to ICANN?

@ixida - My guess from the above list is Option 1, unless Option 2 happens very quickly !

See http://www.tel.community/t4491-telnic-ltd-officially-declares-negative-net-worth#16507 for how bad things were 12 months ago - not likely to have improved since then !
