Sale of the domain names teltalk.org and teltalk.net

Post by tel.community on Wed 08 Feb 2017, 8:36 am

I'm selling the domain name TelTalk.org (without website content).

The domain name TelTalk.net is available, too!

If interested please contact the forum administration: http://www.tel.community/contact

PS: This forum will be operated only under tel.community in the future!

Surely operating under a .tel would be better once liberalized.

That could be.

Interesting topic!

Does a difference exist between the names tel.community or community.tel next month?

I think that to run this forum on tel.community is better in all aspects.

Because if running forum on community.tel, then forum could become potentially (o may be and practically) dependent from Telnic's registry. Perhaps it would be not a nice perspective if Mr. Cash would try to influence this forum.

P.S.
Perhaps, for Mr.Cash it would be a nice decision to buy domain name TelTalk.org (without website content). Then on this domain he could begin to run his own forum where he could concentrate on advertizing successes of TEL extention.

That's a very important comment!
The moment this forum will be moved to the .tel registry, Telnic will shut it down on the same day.

@Sunrise

Are you really suggesting Telnic would make such a cunning move against the interest of its loyal .Tel customers ?

Surely not !

PS. I wonder how long it will be before ICANN says This situation is NOT acceptable for a Registry !

I see the irony in your question.
Telnic has not even adhered to agreed ICANN regulations:

FYI - if you have domainname.tel and domainname.com and use regular hosting you will now have duplicate content issues. Another casualty of losing the DNS served content.

Be careful when converting XML using this method. The baseref in the HTML is using Telnic's CSS and server which will eventually disappear. Even now www.Turku.tel which used to work last week and Chicagoland.tel no longer render correctly. Those CSS and icon files will be disappearing and so will the look of those sites.

A user reported to me that the websites are working correctly if www. isn't inserted in the URL:

http://Turku.tel
http://Chicagoland.tel

Meanwhile, both domains teltalk.org and teltalk.net have been expired.

Since no prospects for these domains could be found, they will drop during the next weeks.

For anyone who has interest in those web addresses, I want to let you know that you will be able to register them soon for the costs of the registration fee only.

Thank you!

Now that .tel restriction has been lifted,
.net/.org for .tel might be sort of nonsense.

but I've registered them just now.
I have no plan for now, though.

I hope someone will give me good advice.

teltalk.tel is available, too.
talk.tel would be the better option, but that domain is in possession of Telnames.

@Sunrise
Thanks for nice suggestion.

but I wouldn't go for teltalk.tel.
double tel is not so cool for me.

teltalk.org is cool, that's where I learned everything about .tel
I learned from you guys, thanks for everything.
It has history, blood, sweat, tears.
I hate it and I love it.

good news for .tel owner is
I had some inquiries last month.
most of them are from china, 5000CNY was the highest.
not great offers, but it started somehow.
some of them are now in escrow.

I don't mind dropping .tel registry number.
it might be a good sign for change hands for neustar.

$700 is not a bad price for .tel domains. Which domains have you sold?

After the liberalization of .tel, the question is if .tel can compete with quality domain extensions like .online and .web.

I think promotion is everything

nobody knows .tel
there is no registrar that push .tel
.tel is not included in the available candidate group
even people working as IT engineer don't know it.
it's notorious among domainer, but not to the general public.

I found interesting article about neustar
The Registry Operator domains are primarily made up of .biz, .us and .co.
You’ll notice a big switch from Q1 2014 to Q2 2014.
This is when the .co domains moved from backend provider to registry operator.

sorry, they were private sale.
chinese pinyin and english keyword

high $$$ offers I've got were for pinyin and guest.tel
but I'll keep them for some more time.

You can check what .tel's are interested in

I'm preparing for my .tel to list on sedo.

You point it out.
The successful nTLDs don't and won't have these problems.
