A good week for .tel domains

Post by silvano on Sun 28 Oct 2012, 9:29 am

A good week for .tel domains.

The .tels decreased of 318 units only.
A good result.

A good week for Telnames.
196 new recordings. Record for October.

In the past four weeks Telnames has 644 new domains registered, with 9660 £ of gross revenues (without calculating discounts or coupons).
Subtracting the 5 £ for domain due to Telnic remain 6440 £.... less discounts, taxes, office, staff, salaries, hosting, advertising...

I gain more!

;-)

This is still far away from the success participants including Telnames are waiting for, but I guess Telnames want to see first if registration numbers can be increased with little effort before they are willing to make serious marketing.

Internet isn't like newspapers or television. In Internet classical advertising and marketing doesn't work.

The appreciation of netsurfers and viral marketing only decree the success on Internet.

No one of the great stories of success in Internet, past and present, spent a buck in marketing.

Especially the really big stories as Google and Facebook have spent and still continue spending big budgets for marketing, even their products are available for free.
If you want to sell a product with costs for the customers, marketing is indispensable; especially when fighting against a high number of competitors who offer similar products for free.
