Your scenario is not realistic. Telnic has enough yearly income with more than 200,000 domains and the current shareholders won't sell Telnic without making profit from their $35m.

The situation for .tel surely can't improve before at least the management hasn't been exchanged!

Yes, just now I found the link: http://companycheck.co.uk/company/03555437

Total Current Liabilities: £1,257,789
Total Current Assets: £9,881,833

There are less, then $35,000,000 but it seems it is enough for at least for ten years to exist at the same level.

By earning $8 per domain and reducing all activities (as happened already) and number of staff members, they can go on like this indefinitely.

Not if there is a collapse in registrations to say 50-100k.

50k registrations x $8 = $400k yearly earnings = more than enough to employee 5 technicians and administrators to secure the daily business!
(In addition no effort for software development is needed, since this work has been stopped already.)

From all what can be heard from Telnic, that is what Telnic is preparing for.
Obviously Telnic has changed the target from selling a mass product to survival only.

We can count the minimal sum needed to keep that little business on the surface of the waters, if we will sum up salaries and main expenses.

What may be yearly salaries in Telnic/Telnames of:
- CEO (1 person);
- other top-managers (4 persons);
- employee (1 person)?

What can be office rent in London at Pierce street?

What could be other expenses?

P.S.
There are also other directors who may be also get salaries:

The question is how can a company with so many directors be so unproductive?
What these people are doing?

It doubt the directors are still in charge; otherwise some work results would be visible.

TelKing, may be indeed that could happen one day.

By the way, the forename "Malcolm" can be found 5 times in that link:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/30756142/TELNIC-LTD-Annual-Report-of-29th-April-2010-List-of-Directors-Full-List-of-Shareholders

1. Rani Malcolm Alahmad
2. Henry Malcolm Asseily
3. Pierre Malcolm Galand

7. Khashayar Malcolm Mahdavi
8. Juan Malcolm Villalonga
Does that mean that it is something of a kind of a "family business"?

No, it means the source of information is not reliable!

A!
We can found at the right side of that document: "Published by THETABIZ S.A." - I think that S.A. most probably is registered in Panama-city.

And that is BTW the friend who is offering you $1 per dropped domain.
But I doubt this offer would be still valid in case of dropping bigger numbers.

I think that there should be some reasons why in that file from Thetabiz the forename "Malcolm" was mentioned in several names. May be Thetabiz itself could say about that one day?

Due to this thread about complaint to ICANN, I decided to wait to the results of it. May be something will be changed. And because of that I currently renewed few TELs which was going to drop. So, may be, the number of my drops will be smaller.

He's been the first and the most disenfranchised about tel as a whole, and from what I saw while watching telnics forums each and every day for years before this site, is that he has been on an alleged crusade against them, hes the same guy who some of us (not me) complained about to telnic when he imported other users dot tel data into a standard web directory and put adverts next to it.

You can see the info on the side "a domain very much praised as being innovative, but also the one Top Level Domain which has failed for numerous times to give the service which paid for." it's my opinion that anyone who legitimately publishes information for others would never add something like that.

Thus it's my opinion that it exists as part of his alleged attempt to blacken the name of telnic and should not be trusted as a valid source of information.

Definitely Telnic has to realize they can't continue only with hoping that others will discover the advantages of .tel themselves.
A poke from ICANN can be only beneficial for that.
