G.CO Brand Marketing

Post by kprobe on Sun 25 Nov 2012, 3:46 pm

Google owns G.CO and to promote it they are running a billboard at Times Square. You go to www.g.co/Everyone and upload an image (maybe upload the .Tel logo) then you get an email hours later with image after it gets shown. Probably will use if they get their new gTLDs? Great interactive way of promoting a brand, so out of the box lessons for .TEL ?

That's a very nice one. I doubt that we'll see something like this for .tel, because advertising space is expensive and Telnic's budget for marketing is always kept small.

But Telnic could learn from the way how to involve customers by interactivity. Best they would find something how to involve small businesses.

You can upload pictures only?
There is no way to include .tel domain addresses?
If I could include jimmy.tel, that would be great marketing!

A QR code painted on your cheek! thus it meets the guidelines they have of I guess being a face, so you get what you want and they get what they want aka you're advertising via your face that links to your .tel domain.

Nobody should say ever again Teltalk is not creative. That's a great idea.
I'm thinking about painting a tattoo with my .tel on my arm.
But I'll do this permanently only in case .tel goes mainstream.
