Trick question? as I don't need to Google tel that often, I just go direct to URLs I know including teltalk.org, so is it not "where is awareness via vanilla search heading?" as tel has it's own search engine and as people realize that is it not conceivable that they'd type those keywords less in Google? and go direct? as well as trying keyword.tel looking for information so interest would not show up?, and it seems to me "dot tel" interest is on the rise again but it's had it's peak long ago. So after all that gibberish I said my answer is Somewhere we've always been!

One of the reasons newcomers to .tel don't use http://www.Telpages.com is that if you go to the home pages http://www.Telnic.org or http://www.Telnames.com there is NOTHING NOTICEABLE TO TELL YOU A .TEL SEARCH ENGINE EXISTS !

I requested on Telnic's forum (before I was banned) a Telnames Search Box or Big Button link be placed on Telnic.org's home page, but got nowhere.

I use this TEL SEARCH ENGINE instead - particularly if I want to use the same search term on Facebook, Twitter, etc on the results page without having to rekey.

Nothing - except we were talking about searching within .TELs only.

Most Google users probably aren't aware of the "site" command that they would have to add to their Google query to achieve this,

How much easier just to use http://www.net-link.com/tel/search.asp?q=birmingham+usa+hotels if you are searching .tels for birmingham usa hotels.

Additionally, if you look above the search box on the http://www.net-link.com/tel/search.asp?q=birmingham+usa+hotels results page you will see clickable links for Web/Video/Facebook/Google+/MySpace/Twitter.

Click any of these and the search is repeated for these environments without rekeying.
